I Am Going to Be Living in Fulham for a Few Months

In less than a month, I am going to have another semester of university under my belt. Since the end of this semester will mark the end of my first year in university, I am actually quite excited about having the summer off so that I can recharge my batteries and be ready to kick off my second year in the fall. Although I have been seen them over the course of the last year, I will be spending my summer living with my parents. The great thing about going home to live with your parents for the summer is that you get to slack off and have them do laundry for you once again (instead of worrying about it yourself). The only thing standing in between me and my time back home is the final examinations that so many people dread. Even though I was very worried about my final examinations last semester (for the record, I ended up doing well), I am really confident that I’m not going to encounter any problems during the ones at the end of this semester.

To reward myself for my upcoming strong performance on my final examinations, I have already made some summer plans. After I get settled into my parent’s place in Fulham, I have a Fulham car rental reserved for my buddy and I. The reason we are getting a Fulham car rental is so we can enjoy taking a road trip for a full week. Although it has been a year since we have seen each other, the two of us have been friends since we were little kids, so I know we are going to have a great road trip together.

Swine Flu Isn’t Going to Ruin My Summer Vacation

Over the past few weeks, people have been going crazy over the news that the H1N1 flu virus (which you may also know as the swine flu virus) is spreading across the globe. As the news started to spread that the H1N1 flu virus was believed to be responsible for more than one hundred deaths in Mexico, people started to panic about the virus having the same effect around the world. Even though people are still worried about the fact that the H1N1 virus continues to spread, it has not caused the same level of deaths that it did in Mexico anywhere else in the world. I brought this issue up because it is hard for me to figure out why people continue to be extremely worried about swine flu when it is proving to be much less serious than initially believed. Since the panic level of people around the world has failed to decline (although there is every reason for them to worry less), countries are still taking a hard stance on swine flu.

Regardless of the fact that the swine flu worries continue, I am not going to let them interfere with my summer travel plans. Because I have taken a trip during the last couple of summers, I already have plans to spend a week and a half in Fulham with one of my good friends. Given the fact that I have reserved a Fulham car rental, hotel room and flight, I can’t even imagine what a pain it would be to change all of those reservations at this point. Fortunately, since there is still some time until my trip starts, I’m hoping people will have calmed down about swine flu and moved on to the next thing that the media is making a big deal out of!
